    Workaholic

I love to be busy!!! I think the appeal is this weird idea I have in my head that if I continue to move I will continue to grow...hmmm...where did I get this ridiculous idea? Unfortunately, I'm convinced the opposite is true. I've been taught since I was a child that Busy is B.ound U.nder S.atan's Y.oke. Don't get me wrong, I believe one can enjoy a very active lifestyle and not be bound by evil. However, in doing a self-analysis of recent months...I'm afraid my priorities have taken a flip. So my mature response is to stick my tongue out blow a raspberry and stand on my head. As all the blood rushes to my head and elbows begin to weaken I remember where my help comes from...so far this is working out as planned...I'll keep you posted as my eyes begin to regain focus.

I love to Sing!!! I enjoy Karaoke...I'd prefer my own jazz/blues band in a dark lit club...but...well...Karaoke is what I got.
For the Last year I have been trying to find a place that has karaoke on the weeknights. I was unsuccessful until last night!! HOOZAH!!!!!! I found a watering hole that does frickin' fantastic karaoke EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK!!!! WHAT??!!! yes ladies and gentlemen EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK!!! It only took me a year and 5 months to find it...and in all honesty I didn't find it...a non-native coloradian had to tell me about it. *sigh* oh well. I wonder how many nights I could go a week and not feel awkward or guilty...hmmm...pondering...the best part is I work nights so I after I get off at 11pm I could dash over and sing for a couple hours and then slide blissfully into my bed by oh let's say 2am. Hmm on second thought perhaps the question should be how much sleep do I need a night. Yikes!!!
Random ponderings of a Karaoke Junky

Response: I would love to know what your guilty pleasure is...be honest...no secrets...give it up!!!

  • Thanks for all the Interest!!!

    Hello All!!!
Many of you may or may not know but I work two full time jobs. However, I need a de-stresser so I think I will use xanga as a creative outlet. Not sure it will work...I've never been much of a writer...at the very least I might get better at writing. ;)

Here's a story to put in your hat!!!
A couple weeks ago I met a boy...now before you jump to conclusions read on...We hit it off right away!! Same interests, walkin' on the front porch kind of stuff (sorry if you didn't take marriage and family this last sentence might be confusing...get over it...or ask ) I didn't think anything of it...I never do. I fly home for thanksgiving...I'm home for two weeks and three days. Upon my return I realize boy has changed his tune a little. I'm pretty sure he's interested. However, I thought he said he had a girlfriend...I investigate with questions such as "how's your girlfriend?" you know I'm sly like that. ;) LOL. Next thing I know I'm sitting at a christmas party NEXT to his girlfriend and she and I start talking. I didn't even ask about her relationship with boy and she says: "Yes, well, we're going to get married so I need to ..." WOW!!! WAIT!!! WHAT?? A couple days go by. I message boy saying "CONGRATS!!! girl says your getting married!! He sees me the next day shows me the ring and smiles. WAIT!! WHAT?? WOW!!! That night asks if I want to hang out. I'm thinking heck yes! No Pressure!! boy is seriously dating girl we can just be friends-SAFE!!!
    WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That night we're hanging out and I ask him how he knows she's the one. (I've always wondered how anyone really knows) He gives this very intelligent answer about choosing and blah blah blah...I don't remember a lot of it because the next words out of his mouth were...When I met you I didn't want you to know about girl because I thought you were HOT... and we hit it off really great... WHAT!!! WOW!!! REALLY?? Needless to say I handled it like a pro I was like "cheers" then set up boundaries for the days to come. Yeah I'm pretty much AMAZING!!!

The whole thing caught me off guard. Maybe I can blame the whole thing on the fact that he's foreign.
    ?? CRAZY ??

  • COlORS

I've always enjoyed colors. I recently decided I wanted to know more about them and how they affect me.

This is a bit of what I learned today.

How the color effects us physically and mentally:

    BLUE:
    Calming and Sedate
    Cooling
    Aids intuition

    GREEN:
    Soothing
Relaxing mentally as well as physically
Helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety
Offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony

    YELLOW:
    Mentally stimulating
    Stimulates the nervous system
    Activates memory
    Encourages communication

    ORANGE:
    Stimulates activity
    Stimulates appetite
    Encourages socialization

    RED:
    Increases enthusiasm
    Stimulates energy
    Encourages action and confidence
A sense of protection from fears and anxiety

    PURPLE:
    Uplifting
    Calming to mind and nerves
    Offers a sense of spirituality
    Encourages creativity

    Now you know.
